Background
DRC has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. Using a human rights framework, the DRC Somalia operations focuses mainly on people who are affected by displacement, including refugees, internally displaced, and migrant.
Danish Demining Group (DDG) is a specialized unit within DRC which implements mine action and armed violence reduction (AVR) programmes. DDG’s mandate is ‘to create a safe environment free from armed violence and the remnants of conflict’, and DDG does this via a programmatic focus on four key sectors: Security Systems Reform, Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) management, Mine Action and Conflict Management.
Overall Purpose of the role:
The registration assistant will assist in the registration of new arrivals.
Responsibilities:
· Register using excel database the Persons of Concern (PoCs) seeking medical service at Hargeisa group hospital and other health centres.
· Assisting for doing all documentation of DATA for refugee patients
· Ensure there is always DRC presence at the hospital for receiving and guiding the refugees/asylum seekers on issues related to registration and collecting the patient information for processing
· Collaborate with the medical officers in assisting the refugees/asylum seekers and returnees patients.
· Update DATA on daily and properly making good filing system
Adherence to HAP standards:
· Ensure continuous communication to and with beneficiaries in regards to project
· Implementation, progress, evaluation and impacts of interventions
· Ensure beneficiary involvement and participation throughout the project cycle
· Ensure publicly available information on and explanation of the Compliant
· Response Mechanism, the Humanitarian Accountability Framework and other
· Relevant project related information.
Education, experience & technical competencies
· University degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Management information or related field from a recognized university
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position with an international organization preferably in Somalia context.
· Ability to work effectively in busy environment with frequent interruptions
· Ability to deal with faced problems from new arrivals from Yemen
· Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, proactive and able to accomplish set deadlines.
· Computer application skills
· Very honest and trustworthy person.
· Excellent computer skills – especially Excel spreadsheets and able to work with Formulas, Power Point and Word.

Conditions
Availability: 22nd April -2019
Duty station: Hargeisa
Reporting to: Project Team Leader - Health
Duration: 8 Month and 9 days contract.
Contract: This position is graded as G6 (NM-I) for qualified national staff and the terms of employment will be in accordance with DRC terms for national staff.
