Ecuador: Consultancy in Digital Fundraising. Quito Ecuador. 10 months.

UNICEF Ecuador seeks a Digital Fundraising Consultant to work with the fundraising teams in Ecuador to boost digital acquisition and retention through digital channels, to increase UNICEF income in Ecuador and diversify its sources of income.

To achieve these results, the professional will assist with the development of the Digital Fundraising strategy and will be in charge to implement it, covering the full spectrum of digital marketing.

The position will be under the general supervision of the Individual Fundraising Officer and will work in close collaboration with the teams in Latin America Regional Office and the Digital team in PFP Geneva.

Main Tasks

DIGITAL STRATEGY

Develop the digital fundraising strategy and annual workplan.

  • Understand market digital opportunities and challenges and analyze digital fundraising market trends. Analyze also main competitors.
  • Create the digital fundraising strategy 2019-2021 in line with the Fundraising Strategic Plan.
  • Develop digital annual workplans which ensure the strategy is implemented and delivers the expected results.
  • Work and manage digital agencies and providers to deliver KPI’s related to the digital strategy and annual workplan.
  • Participate actively in the integration of the Digital Transformation Project and its new website with a focus on fundraising results

    DIGITAL STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION

    Implement digital fundraising strategy and initiatives, including acquisition (pledge, leads, one-offs) and donor retention campaigns (line & circle) to deliver fundraising KPI’s across all digital channels.

  • Planning, executing and evaluating the investment strategy of the different channels to obtain maximum profitability in terms of ROI.
  • Plan, execute and evaluate the objectives, strategies and actions in the different digital capture channels: SEO/SEM, Display, Real Timing Biding, Social Media, affiliation, database capture actions, others, looking for maximum volume and profitability in terms of ROI.
  • Develop and implement a CRO (conversion rate optimization) strategy. Analyze user journey and draw marketing insights to implement.
  • Focus on creating work processes that can be routinely tested with measurable results which have quick impact in fundraising income.
  • Develop and optimize website, emails, prepare imagery and manage CMS systems.
  • Develop and implement digital acquisition campaigns.
  • Develop and implement donor retention campaigns (line & circle).
  • Generating A/B testing actions and follow up on results.

    DIGITAL TEAMS COORDINATION

    Develop digital leadership to coordinate and synergize the different fundraising digital efforts (UNICEF teams, suppliers, agencies etc)

  • Push internal teams towards integration, to make sure all channels and teams work towards an aligned and shared objective.
  • Ensure performance from all external providers, suppliers and agencies. Follow up on results.
  • Liaise with Geneva PFP teams and report back on results.

    REPORTING

    Create dashboards and metrics to follow up on Digital Performance Measurement and find the proper tools to implement

  • Define a metrics plan and set KPIs according to the Fundraising Strategy.
  • Propose improvements according to results obtained.
  • Generate and share monthly digital reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to oversee key digital performance indicators.
  • Follow results and reporting on Investment Funds expenditure.
  • INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

    Coordinate all the required technological solutions to support the digital fundraising strategy while guaranteeing its compliance with the legal requirements

  • Ensure that digital activities and platforms secure data transfer.
  • Guarantee the fulfillment of legal requirements in all digital activities, short and long term (GDPR, data management…).
  • Provide know-how on the use of ICT and CRM systems.

    KNOWLEDGE & INNOVATION

    Provide up-to-date analysis of digital fundraising best practices, opportunities and trends and innovation, from UNICEF network and external organizations.

  • Use innovation to identify new trends on digital transformation and to develop new business models and channels.
  • Understand how digital first organizations work and try to apply this principles in UNICEF day to day work.
  • Use the UNICEF network to apply best in class digital learnings. Analyze best practices and apply learnings.
  • Input best in class learnings and look to implement successful activities from the network and external organizations.
  • DELIVERABLES

    Increase UNICEF Ecuador income through donor acquisition and retention campaigns through digital fundraising.

  • Prepare and implement the digital fundraising strategy and annual workplans
  • Implement the different digital fundraising initiatives and acquisition campaigns, providing accurate support and guidance on the use of digital channels
  • Provide relevant information on digital opportunities and trends to boost acquisition
  • Optimize performance with mechanisms and criteria to coordinate, integrate and synergize efforts from all involved digital actors
  • Report up-to-date analysis and insights on digital performance
  • Secure all digital processes and data
  • Apply new trends, opportunities and best practices to boost acquisition
  • The required work hours for achieving these deliverables is 40 hours per week, approximately. The coonsultancy will be carried out in an off-site modality

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Education: University Degree in Marketing, advertising, e-commerce, or any other additional training in a related field.

    Experience: At least 4 years of progressively responsible work experience in digital marketing, with specific focus on areas such as digital acquisition, cultivation and retention of pledge donors, integrated media planning, and marketing communications and multi-channel campaign management. It would be an advantage if the person had gained the above experience in both agency and charity environments.

    Technicalareas: specific digital media knowledge, analytics and tracking, A/B testing, SEO, content management systems, search engine marketing (SEM), online paid media, web and donation forms, customer journey, UX, CRO, e-mail broadcasting tools, and marketing automation tools.

    Languages: must speak Spanish and English.
